| About S/B & Sons |
We began this adventure
in October 1991 when my sister, who was out of work, came up with
an idea of making and selling gazebo birdfeeders. I had some woodworking
equipment and a garage, and she had the time. We designed a feeder,
made a prototype, took it around town to stores and sold two that
first day. My wife and two sons soon got involved as did my sister's
son. That is how the name of our business evolved.
In no time, we were hooked up with
two chain bird stores and demand started building. We moved out of
my garage into a commercial building and expanded our line of birdfeeders.

We were selling them nationwide and in Canada. By 2000, my sister,
her son and my oldest son found different work that paid more and
moved on. My youngest son and two employees now make up the bulk
of the workforce along with me.
In 2000, we moved again to a larger facility and
started selling retail along with expanding our work scope. We started
doing cabinets, both new and refacing old cabinets. This evolved
into vanities for bathrooms, entertainment centers, outdoor furniture,
fireplace surrounds, repairing and refinishing furniture, trimming
out homes, installing doors, anything that has to do with woodworking
of the non-structure nature.
In 2002, we also started selling and installing
Wilson Art laminated flooring and selling hardwoods for other woodworkers
and DIY projects.
